Setting up A membership system
I looked at setting up a membership system through crowd-funding websites but that did not work for this project as they work on a donation basis but I did not want to take donations.
I believe that Friends of Austrans will turn into a profit-making company sometime in the future. Crowd-funding does not allow a person or group to register a donation as a share-holding and has no arrangement to pay dividends to that person or group.
If anyone knows how to set up a donation/investment system for this fund-raising then please let me know.
The Austrans system has no operating staff and will return an operating profit on investment after the capital and construction costs are paid back. How long this period of time will be will depend on the size of the system and the number of vehicles required to operate the system.
